Foot Fetish Anyone

When it comes to massage, Feet are AMAZING! When was the last time you had a chat with your feet…. The other night in my TUESDAY NIGHT In Touch Men’s Swedish Massage Workshop while we were deep into our trades one of the men working on me climbed onto the table and spent a good 3 or 4 min concentrating his touch on my feet. It was so amazing I am still feeling it 4 days later. One of the things I love most about my workshops is having the opportunity to get down on the table myself to experience the vast variety of touch techniques. As I have witnessed in all of my workshops touch varies as much as the people who attend do. As an instructor I give examples, I show ways that one can approach an area of the body, I explain touch in ways that educate my students into what this type of technique is doing. Then I leave it up to them to try it out and make it their own and when that happens all the magic begins. Now back to me, face down on the table, with a beautiful man sitting at the end working both my feet at the same time. As he worked I realized this face down feet up position I found myself in was something new I had not found before. He sat, bent my knees had a foot in each hand and went to town….. I WAS IN BLISS.

I know firsthand that foot massage can take one to dimensions of relaxation rarely found. It works your entire body system bit by bit by addressing the nerve ending or “ZONES” of the feet. In the 1930’s Eunice D. Ingham, a Physical Therapist, was fascinated by the concept of Zone Therapy that was being explored in the medical community of the time. She started developing her foot reflex theory with the opportunity to treat hundreds of patients where each reflex point of contact had been carefully and thoughtfully checked and rechecked until with all confidence she was able to determine that the reflexes on the feet were an exact mirror image of the organs of the body. Encouraged by experts in the field to write her first book entitled "Stories The Feet Can Tell" where she documented her cases and carefully mapped out the reflexes on the feet as we know them today.

Now back to Tuesday night…… What was happening was not a “TRUE” REFLEXOLOGY session, what was happening was foot massage bliss. As he worked I could feel the stress melt away, and to use a description he stated when it was his time on the table, “I felt like you were letting the air out of the balloon….” My stress slowly left and I found a balance that has stayed with me now for days.

IF YOU WANT TO FIND BALANCE get on a table with someone who knows their craft and feel the stress melt away.
