My inner Sarah Connor...
I ended a blog post the other day by saying, "Smile at someone today—the world needs simple kindness more than anything right now." That statement really got me thinking. As the rapidly advancing algorithmic world takes hold and we’re pulled in countless directions by overwhelming issues, it’s easy to feel individually lost—and when that happens on a mass scale, collective craziness skyrockets. I know I can get caught up in the endless mind game of, “How can I do anything to battle this?” My inner Sarah Connor (yes, that’s a Terminator reference for my younger readers) starts to rise to the surface.
Then it hit me: the answer was in the very statement I ended that blog post with—smile.
Taking small opportunities every day to be kind, thoughtful, and nice can turn into something huge if enough of us do it together. What if we invited our communities to simply consider that kindness is still available- that simple kindness can change someone’s day, and that could then pass on to the next, and the next, and the next?
The algorithm itself isn’t kind, but we can be, and we feed it. So be nice to someone today—online, in person, or even just in your own head. Maybe those simple things could lead to better days ahead for all of us.
Also, book a massage sometime soon so I can keep the door open and help people chill the fuck out on my table.
60 and 90 min sessions AVAILABLE.
