How Giving Massage Became My Meditation
When I first started learning massage, I was mostly focused on receiving. Like many men, I saw massage as a way to relax and relieve tension. But as I began to give massages, I noticed something unexpected. The process of giving massage required me to be fully present, to focus my energy, and to connect deeply with another person’s body and needs.
This focus created a meditative state. My mind quieted, and my hands moved with intention and care. The energy between me and the person I was working on felt like a conversation without words. This balance of giving and receiving energy became a powerful form of mindfulness that I hadn’t experienced before.
